“It is obvious that that Leo San Miguel was holding back a lot of things that he had previously told Sen. Panfilo Lacson,” Sen. Aquilino Q. Pimentel, Jr., said.

Senator Lacson and witness San Miguel had met previous to his testimony. Shortly before the appearance of Mr. San Miguel, it was bruited about that a witness would tell the Philippine Senate how the money was transferred from ZTE to the so-called Gang of Four and how the money got funneled to some other people in high positions in the government.

But when Mr. San Miguel appeared at the hearing, he kept back. And that is why Senator Pimentel could see the frustration on the face of Senator Lacson during the time he was testifying. It was obvious he spilled the beans privately to Sen. Lacson but would not speak publicly, which is unfortunate. # # #
