If these officials have only a mustard-seed fear and love of God in their hearts, they will not aspire for wealth and riches, for then they will know that it would not be good for them to gain the whole world and yet lose their souls in the meantime.

If they only have the real fear and love of God in their hearts, these officials will understand that the Lord Jesus Christ has given those aspiring to become leaders a very stern admonition: he who wants to lead must be the servant of all and anyone who does not heed this warning will surely go to hell. # # #
