NaFFAA official Rodel Rodis and internet aggregator Perry Diaz reprise their team-up in this one-of-a-kind drama that involves what lawyers and journalists subscribe to – the telling of the truth. Surprisingly their pet who is not a bird, the blabbermouth Pex Aves aka Pacifico Aves, has stayed quiet after it was revealed that a court of law has fined him for defamation.

Fairy Tales and Cheap Shots

S AN DIEGO – All the twin canaries could babble was a litany of personal lies. And one was supposed to be a hotshot lawyer and educator, the other an aggregator who fishes for filth from bay to bay for his parochial, not global, website.

All of us should commit to tell the truth. For lawyers and journalists, it's specially demanded by the nature of the profession.

I do not say Rodel Rodis is a duplicitous attorney. He should not be like his stool pigeon, the uncouth, unpacific Pacifico Aves alias Pex Aves of Los Angeles, who fakes his persona at least three times in different professions, and neither makes him real.

The guy in real estate is confused by the phrase "fourth estate" and mixes the two "estates" in his long and desperate attempt to be part of a noble profession that thrives on the telling and retelling of the truth.

That he is not a journalist, and will never be one, is evident in his constant fabrications and habitual retreading of lies. That's Perry Diaz (Porfirio Diaz for chrissakes!), the Sacramento-based wannabe, weaver of Perry's Tales who's blinded by his own PerryScope.

Rodil – that's Aves' endearment for Rodel Rodis in his thick Cebuano accent – warns in his reaction to my story, thus: "Romy Marquez may be a fake journalist but is a real cheap shot propagandist."

That's a cheap shot in itself, coming from a cheap shooter himself. For a lawyer to not say anything substantial to question my story demonstrates wickedness, a lack of understanding. He can't even put up a good challenge.

Which leads to the conclusion that by his evasion, he confirms without doubt everything in the story. (For the information of others who have not read it, the story is reprinted at the end of this article).

I t's incontrovertible that Rodil made a stool pigeon of Aves, and the wimpy guy obliged him not knowing he was treading on delicate issues in America and not in Cebu.

The story-teller of unimaginative fairy tales, Perry Diaz, on the other hand, spins another invention. In the last few years and counting, he always lies through his false teeth, always adding my family he never knew, always injecting tales to skirt the issues.

He tells Atty. Rodis: "Rodel, Wasting you're (sic) time on this double loser. A loser is a loser and there's nothing you can do about it. look where he is now? The children he abandoned in the Philippines have opened their home to their prodigal dad. With nowhere else to go, this double loser had to beg the children he abandoned more than 20 years ago." A fairy tale indeed!

Yet several months back, Diaz wrote to his audience that I was being deported to the Philippines (a lie, obviously) and that I was afflicted with HIV, which he qualified as "hair is vanishing". But the truth is it's his hair that's vanished and he now wears a custom-made peluka, a wig probably taken from a dead horse's tail. (Please watch the video to see how that wig fits).

Of course nobody believes Diaz's fairy tales. But there are people who do, like the spineless Pex Aves who couldn't keep a secret and had to blurt out the fact that Diaz was feeding him with all the wrong information about me. But his stupidity is in parroting the same lies that Rodil Rodis and Perry Diaz gave him!

In this time of happiness and celebration, I should take a pause and be generous. But to let pass the lies by Rodel Rodis and Perry Diaz will not happen, regardless of the season.

The story about Pex Aves being fined by the Superior Court of California for defamation is true and factual.

The inclusion of Rodel Rodis and Perry Diaz in the story for their role in influencing Pex Aves is true and factual.

The mention of Rodel Rodis as being arrested by police is true and factual.

The statement that Perry Diaz asked Pex Aves to deny him as the source of his lies is true and factual. # # #
