I encourage you to attend their summer concert and discover that musical talents abound in our Fil Am community and our musicians are simply superb. We should encourage them to keep playing and hit the high note, so to speak. And the best way to inspire them to do so is to attend their concerts and support their performances.
Thank you, Roger and Cora Oriel, for your vision in establishing the Asian Journal Foundation that supports the FASO. The Fil-Am community should rally to your side with equal support. I am not aware of any other city in the United States that can boast of a symphony orchestra made up of Fil-Am musicians. The FASO is indeed LA's Fil-Am's pride !
Mga kababayan, let us all make a difference in our community by supporting the FASO. If we don't, who will? If not now, when? And I hope to see you at the Pasadena Civic Center on Saturday, July 10th at 7:00 p.m.
Mabuhay!

Subject: RE: "Fil-Am Symphony Orchestra" Is Beyond Politics and Petty Rivalries
Dear Fellow Writers and Community Leaders:
We at the MabuhayRadio.com invite you to read our articles about the Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra (FASO) and its coming events:

Will the Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra (FASO) Prove Hector Santos Wrong from the Historical Viewpoint?

As the FASO is the first-and-only Filipino symphony orchestra in the United States, we suggest most-respectfully that we must not only support it but also publicize its activities in our respective hardcopy or online publications and/or circles of friends. While the orchestra is being supported financially and morally almost-exclusively by the Asian Journal Foundation, we think that the FASO is beyond politics. It is also beyond petty rivalries that some of our publications have with the Asian Journal newspapers.
It is time to come together as a people and as an ethnic community and rally to a common cause that makes us, Filipinos, look good, feel good and proud of our positive contributions to the American society.
Mabuhay,
