Access to justice was an advocacy of the late Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma, first woman Justice of the Supreme Court and one of the most-outstanding and admirable Filipino women. In order to continue her advocacy and to honor her life and exemplary career, her family and friends formed the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation, Inc.
A flagship project of the Foundation is the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Award, a “biennial project that gives recognition to legal professionals who have shown exemplary achievements in their profession, demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the Rule of Law, social justice, human rights, peace and nation-building, and exceptional civic responsibility and integrity.”
Nominations for the Award is currently open. Do you know some outstanding lawyers? Nominate them. Environmental law is one of the fields covered.

Dr. Cora Claudio, president, EARTH Inst. Asia, will moderate the discussion in conversational Tagalog-English.
