T he "Organic Revolution" is the theme of the 2nd Pinoy Organic Festival that will be held on May 29 to 31, 2009, at the AANI FTI Market in Taguig City, only one month after Kalikasan, Kaunlaran! featured “Going Organic: Challenges and  Opportunities” on April 29, 2009.  That is because the Philippines has joined the global “revolution” in adapting organic agriculture!

Although the organic sector is a young sector in Philippine agriculture, organic-food production is already one of the top-ten priority sectors for revenue development in the country. Now, its leading proponent, the Agri-Aqua Network International, Inc. (AANI), wants to ensure that the Philippines will succeed in this worldwide revolution that can make people live longer lives while protecting the environment.

The highlights of the Festival are the trade fair with organic producers from all over the country, launching and opening of the AANI Organic and Wellness Center and the Filipino Inventions Showroom, success stories of organic farmers and producers in the Philippines, and seminars and lectures on various organic agriculture topics.
