E3 means "Excellence in Ecology and Economy." It is the title of the annual award that the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) presents to companies or enterprises that have demonstrated innovative and outstanding environmental performance that has led to the improvement of the bottom-line and sustainability of their businesses and which can serve as models for other companies.

The theme of the Award this year, "Good Environment Makes Good Business," highlights the benefits of integrating environmental management into one's corporate agenda and priorities. 

The 2008 PCCI E3 Award is now open for nominations until Sept. 15, 2008. Winners, who will be selected by a Board of Judges, will be honored during the PCCI's 34th Philippine Business Conference (PBC) on October 21-21, 2008, at the Manila Hotel.

This year's PBC theme, "ONE GLOBAL FILIPINO: Sustaining Gains, Surging Ahead" highlights the significant gains that the Philippines has achieved from its active participation in the ASEAN and global economies. The challenge now is to sustain such gains and surge ahead—with E3!
