Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime”—A Chinese proverb T hat is the original quote. Many versions of it have since emerged. One says: “Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you can sell him fishing equipment.”—Author unknown. The idea is to enable poor Filipinos, in about 40% of the families in the Bayan-Anihan aims to assist GK beneficiaries to be sustainable in their food needs.
