O ne tradition kept alive by Filipinos in Toronto is the yearly observance of the feast of their town's patron saint, such as this one by settlers from Tanza, Cavite. Last Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, they had the Karakol, a semi-religious ritual, and the customary sharing of food with families and friends.
